Hartlepool could win the League this weekend if we better the result of Walsall. Rochdale stand in the way in what could be a memorable day for Pools
Hartlepool go into Saturdays game knowing that if Pools better Walsalls result then the League title will be making its way to Victoria Park for the first ever time. The game will be no walkover though as Rochdale still have a chance of making the playoffs - a challenge that was helped last week as they hammered Macclesfield 5-0.
Hartlepool have already played Rochdale 3 times this season. First their was the 1-1 draw at Rochdale in the cup, then Pools won on penalties in the replay and Pools got the better in the league game with a 1-0 win.
Hartlepool will be without Ben Clarke after his sending off against Notts County so it is presumed that Liddle will drop the centre back and Sweeney will return to centre midfield. The centre forward position is also up for grabs with Williams, Barker and Porter all giving first class performances in recent games.
Pools fans are again showing why we are the best in League 2 with another away crowd of over 3000 travelling to the game.
