Hartlepool have made their first signing of the closed season as goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett has joined the club just days after Dimi rejected his new Pools contract. Barrett has joined Pools after being released by Coventry City .

Just days after Dimi rejected his Pools contract Wilson has gone out and bought in 23 year old Lee-Barrett. The 23 year old stopper was released from Coventry and Wilson was straight in to snap him up.

Barrett started his career with Norwich but moved to Cardiff in 2003. It next made a huge jump down the leagues and signed for Weymouth. Coventry noticed his potential to play in the championship and snapped him up. The problem for Barrett is that the Sky Blues current keeper Andy Marshall has just be named player of the year. So if Dimi does go to Coventry he will certainly have a fight on his hands.

It  will now be a fight for the number one shirt between Jim Provett and Arran Lee-Barrett.
