Pools sign Elliott

Danny Wilson has added another defender to the squad. Robbie Elliott has signed on a bosman after being released by Leeds United at the end of last season. The former premiership full back is Wilsons fifth signing of the summer. .

Robbie Elliott is Danny Wilsons latest signing. Elliott has spent most of his career at Newcastle United but has had spells at Sunderland, Bolton and Leeds.

His career started with the Magpies, were he played from 1991 -1997. He then made a 2.5 million move Bolton Wanderers. After spending 4 years with Bolton he oved back to Tyneside on a free transfer. Last season he spent the first 4 months on a month by month contract with Sunderland before moving to Leeds in January.

After Leeds' relegation he was released and will now join Hartlepool. He can play either centre-back or left back will add more competition for places in defense with Godwin Antwi also moving to Pools last week
