No game, so Hartlepool won't drop points again

Predicting results for Hartlepool has been relatively easy recently - they lose away from home, usually after being in the lead, and drop points at home. But it's even easier than usual to predict what will happen this weekend - they can't lose or draw, because they don't have a match. Hopefully that will mean boss Danny Wilson has more time to get his squad right and look for newcomers.

Pools were dcue to play Southend at Victoria Park, but the Essex side are still involved in the FA Cup, so the game has been rescheduled for Tuesday Jauary 22.
Remember the FA Cup? It's the competition Pools were knocked out of in the second round by managing to lose 2-0 at Legue Two Hereford.
So now, with the January transfer window open, will Danny Wilson be making any new signings?
He was recently quizzed about the possibility of signing Darryl Duffy from Swansea, where he has not settled after choosing the Welsh side before Pools when he left Hull last summer.
But it will depend on whether he's availble, whether Swansea will wan all the £200,000 they spent on him back, and whether he would want to come to the North East.
Pools have also been linked with Andy Kirk of Northampton, another forward.
But after the 4-2 defeat at Carlisle on New Year's Day, Wilson's comments suggested he will be trying to sign at least one defender.
But what kind of defender ... a centre-half or a full-back, or both?
The latest players linked with the club is 20-year-old local defender Evan Horwood, who is curently on loan to Scottish Premier strugglers Gretna from Sheffield United. He was on loan at Darlo last season and says he would love to sign for Pools.
The big difference between last season's defence and this season's is in goal, where Jan Budtz (right) has replaced Dimi Konstanopoulos, but the new man can't take all the blame for the way things have gone.
His kicking is pathetic and at times he really flaps at crosses, but that could be because there isn't enough understanding between him and his defenders.
So the next four weeks will be a test for Wilson - can he pull the players he has round and get them to perform better, and can he make any headway in a hectic transfer market full of managers trying to improve their squads.
At the moment, the best Pools can hope for this season is mid-table mediocrity, but if Wilson can change that into at least a challenge for a place in the play-offs, he will quite rightly earn praise from all concerned.
But the other scenario is that Pools are in danger of being dragged into a relegation fight, and if they can't improve on their current form that is a distinct possibility.
