Losing for the first time this season in their tenth League One game and feeling disappointed to drop from third to seventh, Hartlepool United stay in the spotlight on Sunday when they visit Notts County for a game that will be shown live on the telly.
And boss Mick Wadsworth is calling on his players to respond to the narrow home defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday by bouncing back at Meadow Lane.
But it won’t be easy – County are level on points with Pools and just a place behind them and it could be a classic game between two of the early play-off challengers.
The Pools players felt disappointed not to get something from the Wednesday game, and Wadsworth believes they will be in the mood to do better on Sunday.
He told the Northern Echo: "If we let this get us down we're not as strong and tough as I think we are. So we'll get over it and start working for next Sunday, which is a massive game.
"We're fighting at the right end of the table. I've always said if we can stay in that top half going into the New Year then I'll be satisfied.
"It's all about how the players react now. We've got to get a result at Notts County and show this was a one-off and get back on that unbeaten route.''
County are hoping to bounce back themselves, too, after losing 3-0 at MK Dons last weekend, but with Martin Allen as manager they are quite capable of showing the sort of passion they need.
It could be a cracker.
