Pools Worth The Draw

The traveling Thunderbirds were rewarded with a superb lob from Jack Barmby which earned a deserved draw 1-1 at Plymouth ..

The game was played out in heavy rain and was notable for the performance of the Sunderland loanee's with Connor Oliver looking particularly good on his debut.

Colin Cooper is now keen to get both Oliver and Harrison on loan  next season. A full season loan would be handy, but anything shorter would not help the long term development of the club.

During the last season we have relied heavily on loanees. However, the scrape with relegation and the final league position would suggest that it is not a policy which is particularly successful.

Brad Walker will almost certainly be off during the summer so let's see Cooper being given some backing to bring in some quality signings whose only interest is in furthering their careers with Hartlepool United.
