Luke James has achieved his transfer to Peterborough United. It's good news for the 19 year old who is at a crucial stage of his career and, if the transfer fee is in the region of a million, it's good business for Pools.

The transfer came too late for Colin Cooper to do any business himself - providing the club is in a position to enter the market rather than rely on loanees from near neighbours.

There certainly hasn't been any indications that money will be available at any time to sign new players and, in any case, the transfer window is now closed until January 1st.

So Cooper will have to soldier on. Fortunately, his side is showing signs of improving with his defence growing in stature and a team spirit beginning to emerge. Hopefully we can manage a few 1-0 wins to get the ball rolling.
