New Faces En Route

Colin Cooper hopes to sign a new on loan attacker today - hopefully Sundelrand's exciting Duncan Watmore but probably not - as well as extend the loan of reserve keeper Joel Dixon.  But it's the existing palyers who he will bank on to get the season going with a victory over relegated Tranmere Rovers ..

Following last week's excellent show against Shrewsbury there's real hope that the corner has been turned and the team is settling down to produce some attractive and, more importantly,  winning football.

The Tranmere game certainly looks like it couiold be lively. Unaccustomed as they are to life in Division Two the Merseysiders have already scored ten goals but have conceded six.

So it looks like the new found solidarity of the Pools defence will be tested. Jordan Richartds is likely to be at right back, after coming on last week, as both  Michael Duckworth and Stuart Parnaby are still injured.

Fortunately, Messrs Bates and Harrison will be there to continue the growing understanding which could be key to success this week.
