Bates - goal
By Mill House
October 22 2014

The fuire and passion which marked Sam Collin's first couple of games looks to have evaporated. The caretaker manager has accused his players of being gutless after the 3-1 defeat at Accrington Stanley ..

It's the defence which need the most attention so perhaps he may pick himself at Cambridge this Saturday.

Stanley went ahead through Shay McCartan in the 19th minute, but a Matthew Bates header three minutes before half-time drew us level.

We needed to go in on level terms but failed to pick up Rob Atkinson who had a  free header.

Collions then had to bring on new loanee Matt Crooks, from Huddersfield, in the second half. He replaced a poorly Charlke Wyke but struggled to make an impact - as did the rest of his new teammates.

It was no surprise when McCartan added a third in the second half to clinch the game.
