The next two weeks see Pools taking on York, Wycombe and Blyth - probably the most important run of games this season for manager Paul Murray.

The 1-0 defeat at Southend anchors us even more firmly at the bottom of the table and we need at least four points from those two home league games . Six would be a season changer.

If we are to overcome fellow strugglers York we will have to show more ambition and inventiveness than we did at Roots Hall..

Defensively we were solid - apart form gifting them their goal with a breakaway. We brought on Scott Fenwick in the second half for his debut but he was unable to produce a dream opening goal.

Derby games are always hard and so will be the encournter with Wycombe who are currently third top.

After that comes the TV clash with Blyth. Let's hope we have some vital league points in the bag bythen so we can relax and do ourselves justice.
