Andrew Boyce has joined Pools on a month's loan from Scunthorpe and will be on the bench for the trip to Teddy Sherringham's Stevenage ..

The defender has been brought in as cover with Ronnie Moore unlikely to change his starting line-up after our glorious start to the season.

So Duckworth, Bates, Harrison and Carroll will start the game ande having conceded onluy one goal in the foru games you have to back them to continue.

They have been helped by some lacklustre shooting, it has to be said, but results are results and the Pools team will get better as players get to know each other - and with the likes of Walker and Oates knocking on the door for selection.

The defence will have to watch out for 18 year old Dipo Akinyem who has been getting rave revies and who scored in the 2-2 draw at Newport last week.

However, in midweek Stevenage conceded three goals in the last quarter of an hour against a Leyton Orient side who are one of only two clubs above Pools in the league table.

Fancy a draw for this one.
