The way things are going you would have swapped a flukey cup win for a fortuitous league one. We ain't going to win the Cup but we do need to stay in the league

As things stand we are in the draw for Round Two ands that's largely thanks to some great saves from Trevor Carson against his old team - including an amazing double one. The woodwork was our next best contrubutor sabving us several times and right at the death, while Boro loaneee Adam Jackson had a great debut.

Kudus Oyenuga got the only goal. Let's hope it galvanises him and others into getting siome more.

The exposure of the Tranmere game on TV on Sunday lunchtime should inspire a few.

Fortunately Carl Magnay should be back for that one. We have missed him
