About Time

About time we had a bit of luck in front of the TV cameras. Leyon Orient will be wondering why they didnt have this game won by half time  and they should have. Instead a home side with a handful of new faces got better and better and you can't really argue witha 3-1 score.

Orient had our defence looking panicky on  more than one occasion, and we gifted them their goal when the ball got stuck under several feet and Brad Pritchard accepted the chance.

Against the run of play we drew level seven minyuets later when a decent cross from Oyenuga was fisted away by Alan Dune. Scott Fenwick will say it was taken off his head, and he would have scored anyway, but Oyenuga made no mistake from the spot.

It wasn't rrally a turning point as the pattern of play didn't change until the second half. The Pools defence got its act together, and we had a stroke of luck when Jake Gray's shot from outside the box took a big deflection.

But there was no msiatke about the thrid. The impressive debutant Naismith put a delightful ball inside the full back for Gray to glide into the box and tuck his shot inside the far post.

How refreshing to be able to go home and watch a Poolsw in all over again on the Sky box. This must be the platform to build on so we win games without needing any luck.
