Time to stand up and be counted. There can be no excuse if Pools don't put the effort in tonight and let Salford go through to face Derby in the third round.

We have been playing better and Ronnie has a decent squad to choose from so let's get the ball down on a decent surface,play some football and move the Salford defence around.

By all accounts Michael Mandron finally showed some touches when he came on at Portsmouth - coming off the bench may be the best way to use him tonight.

We have enough players who aren't on loan, and who want to see their main employer benefit from TV exposure and the pay off of the third round. So let's go with Oates, Fenwick and Bingham up front.

Abnd let's not worry about James Poole - having watched him for three seasons we know he deserves respect but there's nothing there to fear.
