The FA Cup has been good for Pools. Money in the ciffers, some TV exposure and hopefully we have unearthed a team whcih can start to win some league games ..

The display against Derby was very enocuraging. Ok we played a side which made ten changes from the one which played against Boro and they had a diehard Poolie in goal (well played young Mitchell and here's to a long and successful career for you.)

Nobody would ahve argued if we'd won the game, but we have to be content that the lads played well and with Richards and Hawkins operating successfully on the right we may have solved one of our big problems.

We actually put a string of crosses into the danger zone. However, on the day, Fenwick wasn't our molst effective player, and one wonders what Paynter would have done wth that service.

Regardless it is back to the league for the rest of the season where we must make our games in hand count. Wycombe is a must win game if we are to gain some momentum from the 2-1 defeat on Saturday..
