Time To Relax

Billy Paynter's double penalty haul against Mansfield ended any residual fears of relegation - now we can go to Carlisle both relaxed and confiudent ...

This fixture was rearranged because of the floods and until a few weeks ago looked a daunting one. How things change.

The Pools defence is now looking solid and we can forgive them for finally letting in a goal at the weekend. Curtis Fleming has worked wonders and when the defence does crack Carson is making world class saves.

He will be tested at Carlisle but don't bet against Paynter gettinbg at least one goal on a ground where he has something to proive after his falling out with the management there.
