All of a sudden we don't want this season to end. The Poolies who went to Morecambe were euphoric after two goals in the first six minutes set up a thrilling 5-2 win and now we are off to Notts County where similar thrills are keenly anticipated ..

Jake Carroll looks like missiing Tuesday's trip as he took a nasty bang to the head and will probably not be risked. Fortunately, Dan Jones will be a more than able replacement.

Craig Hignett is also hinting that he may give other players a run-out as he plans his retained list and looks to build a side capable of doing even better next season.

As well as Dan Jones, Scott Harrison, Josh Laurent, Brad Walker and Rakish Bingham must be champing at the bit for a starting place in this rejuvenated side.
