Hopefully the Pool's forwards are saving themselves for a week on Saturday to start hitting the net ...

In the two friendlies so far they've yet to mam aghe a goal and you could make that 270 minutes if you add the 2-0 defeat inflicted by Spennymoor Town against a young Pools outfit.

However, we did dominate for long periods at Livingston and Craig Hignett says he's more than happy with progress as he gives lads game time.

This week Pools send sides to Seaham Red Star and Guisborough Town on Tuesday night, and then we should get a better idea of who will start against Colchester when Scunthorpe United visit the Vic on Saturday.
