Benefits of a long trip

A long trip dearly in the season can have major benefits as new players get to know each other. This season's long haul to Exeter may have addiotuonal benefits if Pools can get their first win against a side which beat Brentford in the league cup during the week.

Pools put up a good show at Preston in the same competition so Hignett has some selection dilemmas -specially in midfield.

Whoever he picks could well face an interesting phenomenon in Ethan Ampadu who was star man against Brentford even though he is still just 15! He only played because he is on  school hols anddidnt have any homework to do.

By all accounts a host of clubs are tracking the midfielder who must be some talent.
