Thank goodness for Nathan Thomas' brace against Yeovil. That victory sets up nicely to get the season back on track with two home games to come ...
Victories against Mansfield on Saturday and a more tricky (on paper) visit of Luton Town the follwing Tuesday would silence the doubters.
This Pools squad is definitely stronger this season, and they will be buoyed by that superb injury time winner from the lively left winger. This time he was on the right win and cut inside to hit a left foot curler which sailed into the tyop corner when everyone else was settling for a draw.
They beed that bit of confidence and they need better luck with injuries to central defenders. Rob Jones came off at half time at Yeovil but Matthew Bates is getting fitter and, hopefuly, the rejuvenated Jake Carroll will also be back soon.
