Big Test

Magnay Missing

Plymouth will prove a big test for a Pools side whioch is showing distinct signs of getting things together ...

The league leaders will be confident on  ther own patch and will know the strengths of their former player Nathan Thomas who has been on fire for Pools.

But, as we all know, former playesrs are dangerous and prone to delivering the sucker punch.

Thomas is a certainty to start the game in a Pools side which will have to manage without the influential Carl Magnay for many months to come following his knee injury.

There is strenth in depth, though. There is quality in the Pools squad - it just needs to gel and only time on the pitch will perform that magic.

Jake Carroll is fit again but Jordan Richards has been impressing ,so he may well start in a Pools side which could be bolstered by the return of the experienced Rod Jones. That would suggest a three man central defence which has worked well for Pools.

A draw would be a great result.
