Backs To The Wall

Craig Hignett is having a roll-call of defenders ahead of Tuesday's visit of third placed Luton.

The sending off of Scoit Harrison deep into injury time for a second yellow is a massive blow given the injuries to Matthew Bates and Rod Jones. If neither can be risked Hignett will have to play somebody out of position.

It's a massive shame after such a good show at Plynmouth where half the Pools team found their way into the Ref's book - something which Hignett is biting his lip about.

Having said that we would have settled for a point before the game - although it looked for a long time that Nathan Thomas would get us all three points thanks to his first half goal against hs former employers.
