Mission Impossible?

Hope Craig Gignett gets something nice for Christmas. His side certainly haven't been showering him with presents and last week's 5-0 home hammering was quickly followed by the departure of his mate Curtis Fleming ..

Sam Collins now has the job of getting Pools defence sorted and, with the greatest respect to Fleming, anything less than a five goal hammering at high flying Portsmouth would be an improvement on the previous defence coach..

Things certainly don't seem right at Pools  either on or off the pitch - and neither of these things are mutually exclusive.

So it's back to the wall and even a draw at Fratton Park would provide some welcome respite.  The club has players who are capable of pulling off a win - now is the time for them to stand up and claim to be Spartacus.
