Winter was awarded his first professional contract in Summer 2005 after impressing for Youth and Reserve teams in 2004/5 and taking part in the Dallas Cup.

A keeper with good agility, he is expected to be mainly a backup to Dimi and Jim Provett but will be hoping that he can at least force his way onto the bench during 2005/6.
