Friday night Fixtures announced

Friday night matches have brought some great, memorable moments to the Vic. Who will ever forget that 8-1 thumping of Grimsby, or Adam Boyd's fantastic hat-trick against Sheffield Wednesday but why are the games even played on a Friday night?
The club say that bigger crowds are drawn to Friday night games but looking at the figures on the official website the figures do not match the claim.

This season Pools will be playing 7 Friday night games (which includes 2 away games to Boston and Chester).

Friday night games in the past have often been remembered for nights of great action and entertainment, some of the best games include: the 4-3 thriller against Luton and the 3-0 hammering of Sheffield Wednesday but there had also been some pretty bad Friday night games including: the 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield at the Vic and last seasons 1-1 draw with Oldham (a game that will be remembered for a number of costly refereeing mistakes)
