| Fernando Alonso has called Michael Schumacher disrespectful after an incident which almost saw the two men crash into each other. Alonso was furious after Schumacher pulled out in front of him in the pit lane, but Alonso's moaning has fallen upon deaf ears as his concerns are baseless and are a result of his very poor weekend here in Germany. This is what Alonso had to say about the incident: "I nearly crashed! I was in the fast lane and then he came out in front of me. He left the pits without looking and I think the Stewards are looking into it, but when you are driving down the pit lane you have the priority and he doesn't respect that!" Schumacher responded to Alonso's allegations by apoligizing to the Spaniard, but also stating that he did exactly what he was supposed to do: Alonso's claim that he nearly crashed is somewhat justified, but any driver would have been able to avoid a crash in this instance if they had to. Alonso is simply frustrated because he is having a horrible weekend, one which saw him almost miss out on the final qualifying session and then only manage the 7th quickest time in that final session. Perhaps Alonso was fishing for a penalty for Schumacher as right now, that is the only way Fernando is going to catch up to the German this weekend. |
