Michael Schumacher is now out of contention for the 2005 World Championship after a very dissapointing race in Italy. Schumacher has held the drivers' title for five consecutive years, and now it all comes to an end. Here is what Michael had to say about loosing his title. "I think that after today you don't have to be prophetic to say it's over now. I knew that my championship challenge was over quite a while ago. That is why I don't feel too sad today. I knew that it was over for me, but I wanted to see Ferrari perform better for our fans." The 7-Time World Champion also believes that Renault's Fernando Alonso will beat McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen to the title. "For Kimi, now there is only a very slim possibility. As far as I know, Fernando has a lead of 27 points with four races to go and that means there would have to be a lot of things happening to stop Alonso from winning it. I don't see that happening at all." |
