Schumacher On 2005 And Beyond

Michael Schumacher admits that the 2005 season was horrible for Ferrari but he shall strive to regain the title in 2006. Despite his struggles, he refuses to retire until he genuinely doesn't enjoy racing in Formula 1 anymore. Here is what Schumacher had to say about 2005 and moving forward into 2006:

"That was not a season for us to be proud of. Next season our target has to be to go for the title again. When you consider that we dominated last season and other teams managed to leap ahead of us this year, then there is no reason to believe we cannot do the same and be the best in 2006.

We will work hard in the winter to achieve our target. This team is a class outfit and nothing has changed in that respect. We have a new challenge now and everyone, especially me, is looking forward to it."

Schumacher then commented on whether or not he will retire soon:

"Why should I quit? I am still having a lot of fun and feel super fit. I will only retire when I get the feeling that I can not spend enough time with my children. But at the moment I do not think that is the case."
