This weekend saw Rubens Barrichello drive a Ferrari Formula 1 racecar for the very last time. Barrichello took part in the annual Ferrari World Finals alongside Michael Schumacher in a demonstration run in two F2005 cars. Rubens will make one final run with Ferrari as he will drive a few of his family members in Ferrari's three seater, but his career with the Scuderia has finally come to an end. Ferrari and Fiat president Luca di Montezemolo is sad to see Barrichello leave Ferrari after so many years and had this to say about him: "I have special memories of the three races that meant a lot for this company. Germany in 2000, when he won from the back of the field, Monza in 2002 among the crowds and last year in China. Rubens has always been a fundamental part of the Ferrari family." |
