Ferrari's Felipe Massa began the team's off season testing program, working on V8 developments at Vallelunga. This marks the start of Massa's full time role with the Scuderia and the beginning of Ferrari’s crucial off season V8 development.

This marks the start of Massa's full time role with the Scuderia and the beginning of Ferrari’s crucial off season V8 development. If Ferrari can not work out the problems with the new V8 engines, such as high vibrations and questionable reliability,they will suffer greatly in 2006. Massa completed a total of 46 laps of the Italian circuit, driving a modified F2004. His quickest time of the day was a 1'14.366.
