Like Felipe Massa, Michael Schumacher may have to change his Ferrari V8 engine at Sepang. If Michael does indeed have to change his engine, his race will be severely compromised because of a ten place grid penalty for the swap. This is what Michael had to say about the possible engine change:

"At the moment there is no real damage but we will check and think about what to do. We will know for sure tomorrow. Let's put it this way, the possibility of having to change the engine does exist in theory, but I hope that won't happen."

If Schumacher changes his engine, it will be the third Ferrari V8 to be swapped out since Bahrain. David Coulthard's Red Bull Ferrari engine gave up on his cool down lap after the Grand Prix of Bahrain and then Felipe Massa changed his V8 engine as a precaution as it would not last the Malaysian Grand Prix.
