Alonso Still Worried About Ferrari

Dale Calkins

Fernando Alonso is still worried about Ferrari's pace this year and is uncertain about whether they will be strong this weekend. Alonso in fact thinks that only McLaren will be able to challenge his Renault squad this weekend. This is what the early championship leader had to say about Ferrari's real pace:

"I think it's the question in everyone's heads now. I think we'll have to wait and see. Last year they were really quick at Imola but slow everywhere else. Maybe the same thing will happen again this season.

We'll find out this weekend but I expect more competition here from McLaren than Ferari."

Judging from today's free practice sessions, Alonso may have to watch out for Ferrari more than he thinks, especially his main championship rival Michael Schumacher.
