Simon Brown Returns At Last

Can you ever remember a start of a seaon like this? Not a drop of rain has fallen in April and our lads have been getting plenty of practice ... trouble is so have the other first class counties! The game against Durhum Uni ended in a draw after we made a massive 400 off in the first innings.

The bad news was that Michael Gough again succumbed to a back injury. He was on batting form but on a solid track we needed him as second spinner against Middlesex in the Championship this weekend.

The good news is that Chubby is back to terrorise batsmen with his own brand of left armd quickies. He fretted throughout last summer with injury - it was his benefit year! Now he has a lot of catching up to do.

He's playing for the seconds against the Uni so let's hope he holds up.
