Collingwood hero for England

Collingwood showed just how much he has improved over the last year with a solid batting performance and an unbeaten 66 against Pakistan.

Paul Collingwood showed just how much his batting has improved while he has been with the England squad with an impressive 66 not out from 73 balls to help England to victory in Cape Town.

Colly was after revenge against Pakistan after suffering the humilation of a golden duck in the last series.

Captain Nasser Hussein was full of praise saying "Collingwood is proving to be a very good player, a finisher which we have not had in the England side for a while."

He also picked out Colly's fielding for special mention calling him a "Livewire".

Colly's 66 is the higherst England score so far in the tournament and two not outs he currently tops the averages with 109. Only Michael Vaughan has scored more runs than him, just ahead on 117.

Colly's and England's next challenge is against India on Wednesday.
