Collingwood is ready to face the old foe

Collingwood is ready to face India today and is confident of a good result. Colly played in the Natwest Series final last year where England lost from a great position and won't want a repeat today.

Another world cup match and another day/night game for England. Quite why England have two day/night matches in the opening stages and both against teams who have far more experience in this type of match than England is a mystery.

Colly has been writing about his thoughts on the tour so far in a new regular column for BBCi. He has talked about the Zimbabwe issues and how the England team will approach their latest match

It is unlikely that Harmison will join his Durham teammate in Englands team today, the success of James Anderson and the continued good form of Andy Caddick make the selectors job very easy. Neither Harmison nor Hoggard have had a match in the World Cup yet.

So all Durham eyes will be on Colly today as he hopes to put together another good score and show the management that he should be with the England team on a long term basis. His ambition to play Test cricket for England can't be far from being realised.
