Collingwood tops England averages

Despite scoring only 10 runs in Englands defeat by Australia and not bowling, Durham's Paul Collingwood currently tops the batting and bowling averages.

At the end of the group stage of the Cricket World Cup, and possibly at the end of Englands participation Collingwood is top of the batting and bowling averages for his country.

The Durham all rounder has the top score of the competition so far for England with his match winning 66 not out against Pakistan. A not out against the Netherlands also helps his average reach 45 for the five matches.

Colly only bowled one spell of four overs against India which got him one wicket and went for 15 runs.

The England camp will be hoping for Pakistan to beat Zimbabwe tomorrow without improving their run rate by enough to challenge England's. This is the only scenario that will allow England to proceed to the Super Sixes.
