Collingwood four weeks away from comeback

Paul Collingwood said today that is hoping to return to action for Durham in four weeks time. He has been out injured since dislocating his shoulder in a pre-season friendly against Lancashire.

Colly said that he was looking to play in the three championship games in September - against Northants, Gloucestershire and Glamorgan. These could be crucial games for us the hunt for promotion.

He is already training and back practicing in the nets after what has been an incredibly frustrating time for Collingwood after looking in great form for England over the winter and being expected to carry the form into the domestic season.

Colly will be hoping that this will give him enough time to impress the England selectors ahead of the winter tour programme which starts against Bangladesh in October. He said that he needs to be 100% fit to go to Bangladesh, although whether the team would need to be 100% fit to beat Bangladesh is another matter...
