Stranraer go into this match hoping for a repeat scoreline from a previous match between the two sides in 1993 in which Stranraer ran out comfortable winners 4-0. The Midlothian side will be trying to get revenge for that result and maybe get a chance of drawing a big side in a future round.

Stranraer have played Whitehill Welfare a total of (Any Ideas?) A previous encounter between the two teams in 1993 proved to be a difficult tie for the Blues with the East of Scotland side taking us to a replay. In the first match at Stair Park, Welfare were 3-1 up with around 12 minutes left, then the Blues scored two late goals to take the tie to a replay at Ferguson Park. Four goals from Tommy Sloan insured that the Blues progressed in the competition. Last Saturday Willie Bennett scored for Whitehill and then Michael Moore replied for the Blues.
