Billy Talks...well Ally anyway!

Stranraer 3-2 Forfar Athletic

Due to Billy McLaren unexplained absence from his chat with the press Ally Dawson shared his thoughts with us. He said " we had a good spell at the end of the first half and at the start of the second half."

Does this give us an advantage for the cup replay? Ally replied. " Possibly, if you look at the way we lost the first goal early on then we got back into it. Both teams will probably not be looking forward to the game. We dont know how the park is going to be but today we have accepted it and got the result. There was alot of greasy play and it ragged at times due to the tiredness of the players."

Afterwards Ii spoke to Stranraer's third goal scorer Kevin Finalyson. Kevin was delighted to get back on the score sheet. He said. "Aye its good to get back on the score sheet." " The last time I scored was up at Hamilton which was quite a few months ago."

He added, "It was a bad goal to give away right at the start, but we got back into the game well. You can't fault the players effort today they worked reall hard for each other especially at the beginning and inwhich the boys gave there all and the performance was excellent."

I then asked Kevin about our chances of promotion? He said. " we just need to keep winning games. We have hard games coming up. We have Forfar on Monday and that will give us a break from the league then we are up at Hamilton on Saturday and we need to get 3 points there. We just need to take each game as it comes."
