Billy's View

Stranraer 0-4 Motherwell

Stranraer gaffer said; " I thought the first half was very entertaining and very even, but you had that feeling of inevitability about it. The second goal was scrappy, awful scrappy and I think that knocked the stuffing out of us." He then added; " I thought we created 1 or 2 good chances in the first half."

Stranraer player Dexi Wingate said; " The first half we done really well, but the deflection goes in and we find ourselves one nil down. I thought we had done enough to get a goal back." " The gaffer changed it in the second half because we couldn't sit there one goal down because we were getting beat, so we changed the tactics and we had to go for it."

Stranraer hitman Michael Moore commented; " Motherwell came out in a different class in the end but it was just there fitness. In the end they could run all day and we just couldn't keep up." " We done well for an hour and in which we had a couple of chances. My first chance was unlucky but I should have done better and the one right at the start of the second half which am disappointed about."

Stranraer stopper Kevin Gaughan said; " We were all looking forward to the day. The first half was very unfortunate to go in a goal down but in the second half they showed why there a premiership club." He then added; " Michael's had that wee chance and he's made up his mind that he was going to go round him early on. I believed that he had got away with it but on another day it might have come of. In the second they controlled and the difference being they took there chances."
