Dumbarton 1-1 Stranraer

Ben Allen spoke to some of the playing staff after Tuesday's draw. Captain Stevie Aitken said that the draw on Tuesday wasn't any good. "It was 3 points that we needed but the only good thing is that it keeps Dumbarton 4 points behind us. Third bottom doesn't look very good but if we win all the 3 home games that changes it completely." He added, "They are three home games we should be able to win but on paper none of them look particularly easy." Stevie then commented on manager Billy McLaren. "I hope that Billy McLaren is still there at the end of the season. I get on great with him and so do all the other players. He is such a positive person."

Dexi Wingate said, "Against Dumbarton we missed a lot of chances and lost a silly goal which the gaffer emphasised to us. Jenkins had a chance, Paul Kerr missed a couple so its 2 points gone away from us." He then added, "We are now 4 points in front of Dumbarton with a games in hand so I hope that we are safe."

Stranraer defender Jon Crawford added, "It was important that we didn't lose, but we created enough chances to win the game. Dumbarton weren't impressive and they didn't look like winning the game." He then said, "We have a game in hand which could easily be the difference between staying in the second division and being relegated. We need to make the most of our chances."
