Bolton Wanderers travel down the M6 for a vital Premiership basement battle game against newly promoted Birmingham City. It is a huge "six pointer", even at this early stage of the season.

Stig Tofting is back in the squad for the first time since he was sentenced to four months in prison back in his native Denmark ahead of his upcoming appeal. Tofting has several reserve games under his belt and could play against Birmingham tomorrow and ultimately take part in an intriguing midfield battle with Blues' Welsh "hard man" Robbie Savage.
Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce is still without the services of Gudni Bergsson or Paul Warhurst for a game Bolton desperately need to win to climb from the bottom of the table. Wanderers haven't won since the famous victory over Manchester United pn September 11th.
