'Savo' made his first team debut in a 2-0 win at St Mirren at the end of 1997 and made one further substitute appearance as Dundee romped to the first division title.
Dundee farmed him out to join Forfar on loan for season 1999-2000 but made sure that everyone knew he regarded the player as a player with a future at Dens by giving him an extended contract.
His form at Station Park was sensational and led to him receiving the Third Division player of the year award.
Last season saw Savo make regular appearances for the Dee's and he has continued that on this season, where he has challenged for a starting slot with Fab and Sara.
