The physio room will be extra busy this week after  the hard fought win at basement club  Bath. Jimmy Gopperth was the most affected having been knocked clean out early in the second half which earned a red for Mike Williams.

Its not nice seeing a player being given oxygen, but Jimmy was walking round at the end so hopefully he will make a full recovery once he's been properly assessed.

Dan Robson also strained his groin again and Vaea Fifita was also a casualty. Of course, we already had  Malakai Fekitoa, Ryan Mills, Paolo Odogwu, Sam Spink and Will Simonds injured.

It all came as we took the game 27-17 earning four points in the process.

It was a close first half with Fifita crossing to help us to a 13-10 half-time lead.

With Bath down tio 14 we pressed our advantage through Gabriel Oghre and Tom Willis with tthe hosts getting a late try from Semesa Rokoduguni.

Lee Blackett now has to consider his options for the visit of Quins next week. He has an extra day to prepare as it's being played on Sunday.

He said:"Bearing in mind our injury situation, I'm pretty pleased we've won three out of six, although we could have beaten both Exeter and Newcastle.

"We still picked up a number of injuries. Dan Robson had a recurrence of a groin injury which could mean five weeks out. Thomas Young was struggling with a hip injury. We took him off as a precaution. He should be ok to join up with the Welsh squad and obviously Jimmy will have to be assessed."
