Dramatic End
Winning Try

What an incredible finish to a game. Trailing by 11 points with two minutes left on the clock Wasps stunned Exeter scoring trice to snatch the game 27-26.
Paolo Odogwu was the hero as we mounted a massive assault on the Exeter line - retaining the ball for minutes on end until Paolo seized his chance in stoppage time .
That outcome looked unlikely for most of the game as the ultra efficient Chiefs went ahead thanks to tries from Tom O'Flaherty, Lewis Pearson and Jack Innard.
Paolo has crossed for his first but a Richard Capstick's second-half try took Exeter to what looked like an unassailable 26-8 lead.
However, Joe Launchbury and Alfie Barbeary both crossed and there was a defining noment as Wayne Barnes chalked off a Tom Hendrickson effort courtesy of the TV monitor - he ruled that the Chiefs' winger had lost control of the ball.
That was the cue for some sustained pressure and ball retention which eventyually forced that opoortunity for Paoloi some five or six minutes beyond the 80.
The 5 points takes us above our hosts and we now reside in a healthy sixth place.

You only need to look at yesterday’s try scorers to appreciate the difference the “returnees” are going to make for the rest of the season.
You must mean “returners”. I.e. those returning. “Returnees” refers those to whom return is being made i.e. those who have not been away.

Eh?
a person who returns to a place, role, etc., especially after a prolonged absence.
