TFTM 2012 - 19 : Richard Thorpe

In the final, and really late, instalment of Thanks for the Memories for this year Big-Al opens his phot archive and shares pictures of this summer's surprise departure Richard Thorpe. Many apologies to Richard and Al for the lateness of this entry, clean slipped my mind as the season got closer.

Richard moves on after a decade with London Irish. A versatile player who could cover any position in the back row, he joined our academy back in 2002. As well as making well over 100 appearances for London Irish, Richard has represented England Schools at U16 & U18 and represented England in the U19 (2003) and U21 (2004) World Championships. But more importantly than any of the stats, Richard is a thoroughly good bloke who always had time for supporters and will be greatly missed by many of us. Thanks Richard and good luck at Leicester.
