Henley Sevens - Supporters touch rugby tournament

London Irish Supporters Club, with the cooperation and kind assistance of Henley RFC, plans to enjoy the beginning of the next season of Zurich Premiership Rugby with our second outing to the Henley Sevens, which takes place on Sunday 10 August.

Last year saw a very large group of London Irish fans cheering on high
quality teams in the tournament, whilst at the same time enjoying a
marvellous picnic and the odd drink or two besides the Thames. What
made
our large numbers of attendees more amazing was the lack of a London
Irish
team playing in the tournament. This led to teams being Christened with
new
names, such as the 'London Irish Samurai', the 'London Irish Marauders'
and
the 'London Irish Fijians'.


This year, we want to go one better. London Irish Supporters challenge
each
supporters club to provide a Sevens team of its own to take part in a
'Supporters Club Sevens'.


Details will follow as the tournament takes shape but if you think your
club can provide a team, and the supporters to cheer them on, and at
the
same time enjoy a great day out and party by the river, let us know and
