We end the season with a real shocker as we go down to Saracens. This does not however stop the party. The last game of the season seems to be developing a momentum of its own.

Ed's diary – 13th May 2004

London Irish 14 – 20 Saracens. We end the season with a real shocker.

This will be my last diary of the season. At this stage I’m not sure if I’ll do another series next year, it depends in part what the reaction to this one is. As we start the close season I’m glad to know that I have a bank of stories to keep us going. I should be able to have a fresh front page at least every other day. If I can manage to kick start ‘Meet the Family’ again I might do even better.

Rugby aside, the last game of the season was special. It’s starting to turn into a big event in the same way as the Saint Patrick’s weekend and Christmas games have. With some effort from the club I have little doubt it will be. For me the highlight of the weekend was Saturday night at the Allied Arms. The Gagging Ferrets played to a big crowd in the garden, it was a magical evening. My Craic report which covers it is entitled ‘The Night they got BrianC to Dance’

We’ve drawn up a shortlist for supporter of the season which will be put to the vote. The general feeling amongst the committee is that Marie is favourite to win it this season.
