The Craic Open - Formal Announcement

After the great success of the Masters the Craic Golf society marches on. Those of you with a liking for innuendo will no doubt enjoy The Craic Open.

The date for the first Craic Open has been set for Friday 12^th November 2004. The event will be an individual Stableford competition with prizes for the 1^st three places, and a trophy for the winner. The tournament will be held at Bird Hills Golf Course where the Craic Masters was held in July.

There will also be prizes for the longest drive, nearest the pin, and putting competitions. Considering the nature of the event the competition is open to supporters of London Irish and their guests.

The great news is that Conor O’Shea is supporting the event by promising a player to attend the prize-giving. This is a wonderful gesture from Conor and shows very clearly his support for the newly formed Craic Golf Society. You never know, if he can get through the qualifying school we might extend to him a wild card invitation!

The Masters event was well attended and an enjoyable time was had by all who took part. The Open promises to be even better!
