I'd rather be a Warrior than a Quin

Next Saturday we make our first ever trip to Sixways, home of the Worcester Warriors, where we play them in our first, hopefully not our last, Powergen Cup match of the season.
The Warriors have proved themselves to be worthy opponents this season. Home wins against Wasps and Quins and an away victory at Northampton have shown the rest of the Premiership clubs that they are no slouches. Our one and only encounter with them thus far resulted in a 25 – 15 victory. It was a hard fought game. At the time many of us felt we had avoided a potential banana skin. In the light of the Warriors subsequent wins we may now feel this was in fact one of our best performances this season.
As few of us have been there before the directions to Sixways on the supporters club site may be of use to those who are driving there. Reports from those supporters who have traveled there so far this season have been almost universally in praise of the ground and it’s facilities. As we know from those who came to the Madejski last month the Worcester supporters are a very friendly bunch indeed. We are assured the warmest of welcomes off the pitch. If their previous ZP games are anything to go by the ground should be at or close to it’s 8.5k capacity.
In our league victory over them it was Worchester's indiscipline, particularly in the first half, that allowed us to take a decisive lead. It was a hard fought and niggling game. Given what is at stake on Saturday and the style of both teams play we are likely to see something similar. Our defence then was as good as we have seen all season, it will again need to be.
As an aside. The only time I have seen Worcester play was some five years ago, at Henley, in front of a crowd of a few hundred. They have come on a long long way since then and are proof if it was needed that clubs with ambition, investment and the right mix of management, players and supporters can make it to the top.
